'SAIL AWAY' Press Release
Hi! We're over the moon to announce that our debut single 'Sail Away' will be released on all major digital streaming services on the 10th of December, 2021. Juice Box is a three-piece project long in the works and self produced amongst ourselves and friends (additional production on this single was given by Benedict Quinn). Sail Away aims to tap into the nostalgia of 70’s yacht rock and city pop, as well as 60’s sunshine pop, whilst employing modern elements in its new-wave jazz influence and hip hop inspired drums. This style hopes to evoke some childhood wonder and offer a playfulness in modern pop. The artwork for the single was provided by California based artist Nicholas Vargas and mastering was completed by LA based Grammy Award winning mastering engineer John Greenham (Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Bo Burnham). Artist Biography
Juice Box is the musical project of 22 year olds and school friends Henry Pearce, Laura Jennings and Nick Roberts. With their time spent between Brighton and Oxford (though all from London) at Sussex and Oxford University, the three share psychedelic-cartoon visions of desert landscapes, big skies, and space age escapism.
Influenced by yacht rock, city pop and 70’s Americana, the three originally began writing and producing together in 2019 employing guitars, synthesisers, electric keyboards, flutes and a shared love of sunshine pop harmony. Since then they have been working on material non-stop and further constructing the Juice Box universe through their lyrical themes and playful soundscapes. Each member of the band features lead vocals on respective tracks as well as alternating harmonies.
